A slipway with a history of excellence.

Carey’s Bay on Otago Harbour have been home base for the Otago fishing fleet since Europeans first settled around the bay and its neighbouring deep-water port (Port Chalmers) in the 1840s. Miller and Tunnage is a name synonymous with boats and boatbuilding. The slipway had it's beginnings in 1907 by established by Scottish trained boat-builders Robert and Andrew Miller. The slipways has changed hands several times in the last decade and the Miller and Tunnage banner is now gone, but the dedication to quality and crafts lives on in our staff.
